His name is Bill. He asked about whether or not I saw his website. Apparently, he's been totally busting his *** pimping his website out to people, and learning about search optimization. It paid off, as he was the first hit I clicked on. Very very cool cat, funny and friendly, got in and out in less than 30 min., for $45 bucks. That's including the "I saw your website" discount. ;-)

Found the place up near Figueroa St. and Colorado Blvd. Called them, guy says come on down. I get there, and he's already testing a car. So he sends me over to the UMBRELLA AND CHAIRS, where a nice breeze cuts across the lot. He insists I get a COMPLIMENTARY COLD BEVERAGE from the refrigerator near the testing area.

So, I'm col' chillin' in the waiting area, which is infinitely nicer than the hard wood or metal benches at every other place I've been to. The guy whose car is getting tested starts chatting. He tells me he needs a website for some bands he's managing. We exchange info, and he's off.

While I'm waiting for Heather's car to get tested, a guy rolls up after me, and comes over to chill out. He's an artist, and HE needs a website. We exchange info.

This isn't even counting the dude that [info]burning_brain gave me the number to, who needs a website.

So, tomorrow, I'll get phone calls from 3 different promoters wanting me to help them get booked, or get lights done?

And I didn't even have to use my AK....
